SENSUS METERING SYSTEMS Deeco
first became involved with the importation, distribution and
application
of water meters over 25 years ago following de-regulation and removal
of
protectionism. Up until then only two brands of meter were available
with
local manufacturers being uneconomical and of questionable quality.

introduction of the Meinecke and Socam brands quickly established

as the preferred meters with many water suppliers. Many Meinecke and

meters sold 25 years ago are still in service proving their suitability

NZ conditions. The merger of the Meinecke and Socam brands under the
single
Sensus Metering System has allowed the Sensus metering Group to become
a
global strategic player dominating meter technology in both Europe and
North
America. Their position as the World's largest manufacturer of meters
in value and unit production allows them larger investment in
production and
R & D leading to superior domestic meters such as 620 and
Combination Meter Meitwin.
Both of these models perform other mechanical meters in low flow
performance

NZ
application conditions and the NZ Water Meter Code of Practice.
