In the early 1940's Deeco first became involved in the operation, correct application and supply of pipeline Air Release Valves.

Since this time we have supplied thousands of air and vacuum valves, bringing us the experience to enable us to consult on the correct application of Air Valves for air discharge and vacuum protection for a wide range of pipeline, vessel, pump station and chamber designs.

Deeco Air Valve products have included the Unirain, Bermad and ARI ranges of Air Valves. Deeco's 60 years of experience in 1999 lead us to secure and support the Ventomat Air Valve range.  Ventomat is truly advanced in its design and perform due to their in-depth understanding of water and sewage pipelines.

Ventomat evolved as a result of extensive South African Government research into pipeline failures and performance. They're research finding over many years' lead them to believe current Air Valve devises to be unsatisfactory and can even contribute to pipeline stress.  The research Scientists increased understanding of the physical laws that govern Air Valve and pipeline operation dynamics, eventually lead them to development their own air valve product that proved unsurpassed for air release, vacuum protection, surge alleviation and pipeline flow enhancement.

The sale of this intellectual property and product design created Ventomat who over the past ten years, has become a recognized world leader in this technology. Many world documented papers illustrating the improvements in surge alleviation and pipeline flow enhancement through application of Ventomat technology have now been published.

Deeco has worked in closely with Ventomat both in the R&D department in South Africa as well as in the field in NZ to develop a range of products modified to suit NZ industry standards and common pipeline practice.
